marijuana was found in the home. less than 10 seconds after the suspect it's in his car, three detectives roll up. you see a white car and another on foot. they're there to rest a second suspect we will see an imminent. --a minute. to get their hands on him. there tried to arrest him. during that time i look at that door. that's the first suspect. he starts firing at officers. detectives returned fire and they have a shootout right in the middle of the afternoon. as he falls down, the suspect hiding behind the tree. eventually, one of the detectives gets a good shot on him and he falls to the ground. he told in the ground. the gun flies up

into the air. that suspect in pain on the ground. he eventually dies. the suspect was hit right here is recovering and he will be ok. the home that they were investigating had 80 lbs. of marijuana found inside the home. >>pam: back here in the bay area. a fire at san francisco's pier 41 -- damaged part of forbes island restaurant. the restaurant is on a house boat in the water -- so it was difficult for firefighters to get to the flames. they had to use a fire boat. the blaze damaged the reception area where customers entering the main diningthe owner of the restaurant was inside during the fire -- but was not hurt. an hour long delay for some caltrain commuters this morning --

after a train struck killed a woman in burlingame. it happened south of the broadway station. a caltrain spokesperson says she was at a pedestrian crossing -- but victim was on the tracks. there was a back up -- and trains had to single track around the accident for more than an hour. noon. >>catherine:a texas paramedic who helped night of the fertilizer plant explosion - has now been arrested. bryce reed has been charged with possession of bomb- making materials. it's not clear whether the charges are related to the plant fire and explosion which killed 14 people last month. reed was at a memorial for the victims.and even spoke at that event. until now - investigators have mostly treated the incident as an industrial accident.but texas officials have now launched a criminal investigation. convicted killer jodi air- ree-as has been admitted to a prison psychiatric ward. she was found guilty of first degree murder this week in the death of her former boyfriend. air-ree-as has been under constant supervision.and is on suicide watch. she told a phoenix reporter in an interview that she prefers the death penalty to life in prison.

>>pam: top spot. and california attorney general kamala harris is going after chase bank. why she says one of the biggest banks failed its customers. the kron-4 news at six continues. california is suing one of the largest banks in the nation -- claiming that j-p- morgan chase used illegal collection efforts. the lawsuit was filed thursday by california's attorney general kamala harris. it says that the company filed thousands of debt collection lawsuits every month from 2008 to 2011 using improper practices that shortcut procedures required under california law. harris says the company's methods include "robo- signing" to collect credit card debt. "robo-signing" was common in mortgage foreclosures until it was finally outlawed. chase is one of the five major banks that settled with california and other states after the housing meltdown. chase refused comment today except to say that they are
